Deborah L. Redmond is the managing partner and founder of SOHO Strategies LLC (formerly The SOHO Group, Inc.). In 1994, Deborah began SOHO with the purpose of providing strategic planning, management and marketing consulting for nonprofits, educational institutions and progressive enterprises determined to make a positive impact.
Prior to starting SOHO, Deborah worked with numerous organizations in senior level positions, including serving as executive director of Environmental Education Associates, Inc., development director for the National Women’s Political Caucus and director of corporate relations with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Educational Service Centers. In the private sector, Deborah held the post of executive vice president of Nichols-Dezenhall Management Communications, a crisis management communications firm.
Deborah’s community activities have included serving as past president of and advisory committee chair for Women in Film & Video (professional arts nonprofit), past board chair of Wall Street Institute (financial literacy nonprofit) and as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Washington, DC (2002-2006). Deborah is a member of Leadership Greater Washington (LGW) Class of 2004, and in 2005, she co-chaired LGW’s first Legacy Forum, which provided an opportunity for LGW’s alumni to join forces annually to address critical regional issues.
Deborah received a BA from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Marymount University. In addition, she has attended numerous executive development programs conducted by institutions such as The Aspen Institute, Georgetown University and Harvard University. She lives and works in Washington, DC and Santa Fe, NM.
